ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS

Essential amino acids are the amino acids that our body cannot produce at all and therefore must be obtained through our diet.

Amino acids are the building blocks of protein which serve more than just maintaining and building muscle mass. They are also used for tasks such as production of hormones and enzymes, absorption of nutrients, regulation of the immune system, and many other functions. Assuring sufficient levels of amino acids allows for the body to smoothly coordinate the biochemical processes needed to keep itself running. Of the amino acids, there are nine that are classified as essential, all of which we have included.
